Stupid v. Evil

With Barack Obama coming to town, there’s a lot of talk about politicians of both parties working together to accomplish important goals, like bailing out the auto industry, regulating our energy use and socializing health care. Only when both parties come together, we are told, can such truly massive government projects get off the ground. Which is exactly why “bipartisanship” is one of the most frightening words in Washington, D.C. The next time you hear about some powerful politician “reaching across the aisle”, reach for your wallet.
