Julie Walsh is a policy analyst in CEI’s Energy and Global Warming department. She is also the Coordinator of Freedom Action. Ms. Walsh brings to Washington the non-traditional background of being a home educator for thirteen years. A regular contributor to CEI’s blog, OpenMarket.org, GlobalWarming.org, and the Cooler Heads Digest, she comments on a wide range of issues, especially energy, the environment, and global warming.

A California native, Ms.Walsh attended the University of California-Berkeley and went on to receive a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado in both Mineral Land Management and Finance. Julie's husband, Brian, is an attorney at the Heritage Foundation, formerly with Kirkland & Ellis.
