Media Advisory: CEI, Members of Congress Sue the President

Washington, DC, October 4, 2000 –  The Competitive Enterprise Institute will co-host a press conference tomorrow to announce its lawsuit against President William J. Clinton and Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Neal Lane. Joining CEI will be co-plaintiffs Senator James Inhofe (R-OK), Representatives Jo Ann Emerson (R-MO) and Joseph Knollenberg (R-MI), Consumer Alert, 60 Plus Association, Heartland Institute, and David Wojick.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

 

The plaintiffs seek the federal court in Washington, DC, to declare the soon-to-be-released National Assessment Synthesis Report (National Assessment on Climate Change) as unlawfully produced in violation of three federal laws.
