Sean Paige Named New CEI Warren Brookes Fellow
Washington, DC, September 6, 2000 – The Competitive Enterprise Institute is pleased to announce that Sean Paige, former investigative reporter at Insight on the News magazine, has been named the 2000 Warren Brookes Fellow.

Prior to Mr. Paige’s three years at Insight, he was the Media Affairs Director at Citizen’s Against Government Waste and a press aide on Capitol Hill. His writing has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, the Weekly Standard, and the Chicago Tribune, among many other outlets.
“We are delighted to have Sean become a part of the CEI team as our 2000 Warren Brookes Fellow,” stated CEI President Fred L. Smith, Jr. “I am confident that he will be a credit to the legacy of Mr. Brookes.”
Warren Brookes was a columnist for the Boston Herald, Detroit News, and the Washington Times,where he wrote columns questioning the conventional wisdom of economic and environmental policies. CEI established a fellowship in his name in 1991 to help identify and train promising young people as well as experienced journalists who wish to improve their knowledge of environmental issues and free market economics.
Mr. Paige is a native of Birmingham, MI and holds degrees in English and Political Science from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.
