Gary Howard is a member of the communications team at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, responsible for its Social Media projects and strategy. Gary manages CEI’s presence on Web 2.0, and initiated the generation of materials for CEI on various new media outlets and social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, and on social media sites like Digg, Buzz, and StumbleUpon. In addition, he works on creating interactive features for CEI’s websites and Internet campaigns.

Gary also posts regularly on CEI’s OpenMarket.org blog, writing on various topics related to economic liberty, financial privacy, and web 2.0 technologies.

Gary is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated from the University of New Orleans. Prior to joining CEI, Gary worked as an aide in the United States Senate.
