Low-key carbon tax talks fuel conservative outcry

But conservative carbon tax critics did a pre-emptive strike — leaking the agenda to select reporters hours before the start of the Wednesday gathering and later posting it on public blogs.

One of those blog posts [3] — written by Competitive Enterprise Institute senior fellow Marlo Lewis — noted, “In general, when left and right join forces, the appropriate question is: Who is duping whom?” He denounced the gathering as an “AEI-hosted carbon tax cabal.”
