Study Finds DSM Not Grounded in Reality

Washington, DC, May 30, 1995 - So called "market failure" arguments applied to electricity consumption and conservation have been overstated according to a study released by the Competitive Enterprise Institute. The study, The Economic Fallacies of Demand-Side Management, examines the true costs imposed on consumers by subsidizing energy efficient investments.
