Unions taking work away

According to one researcher, union hypocrisy has been sighted in Seattle, Washington.

CleanScapes, a private trash collection company based in Seattle, offered to clean the city’s Westlake Park during holidays, free of charge. But Trey Kovacs, research associate at the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI), tells OneNewsNow the offer was met with firm opposition from local union officials.

“The public service and industrial employees union has written letters and a cease-and-desist order to not let a private corporation infringe on city contracts and…union jobs,” Kovacs reports. “And the city did the union’s bidding and said they would not take the free services.”
