Updated: Ohio Union Release Time

Union release time is a subsidy to public-employee unions at the state and local level, but the cost and activities are rarely available for public inspection, or kept track of at all.

To remedy this, WorkplaceChoice.org has sent public records requests to numerous state and local agencies to shed light on how much tax dollars are spent on the private special interests of government unions.

As important as exposing the wasteful practice of union release time is educating taxpayers that the majority of state constitutions contain an antidote to such wasteful spending in their state constitution (read more about the Gift Clause, here, here, and here).
