Federal Register Adds 1,177 Pages, Hits 7th Highest Ever Count
We noted here on November 1 that the Federal Register is on a roll, hitting 76,270 pages, the 8th highest level ever.
This morning, the Federal Register added 1,177 pages and now stands at 78,020, as may be seen in the chart nearby. It is the 7th highest count, ever, even though nearly two months remain in this record-setting year.
As we said earlier, this all calls for a countdown, so you’re looking at it. Each time that the Obama 2016 Federal Register count notches itself up the Top 15 countdown, we’ll post a new chart.
The next milestone is 78,961, which, at a pace of well over 1,000 pages weekly, will be reached next week.
Some notables here:
- While the highest count ever was Barack Obama’s 81,405 pages in 2010, clearly this figure will easily be surpassed—before December.
- When all is said and done, of all the Top Ten counts, seven of them are going to belong to President Obama.
- High counts appearing for prior presidents are Bush (79,435); Clinton (74,258); Carter (73,258).
