Will UAW strike?

Politico discusses the United Auto Workers strike and references Trey Kovacs for information on unionization.

One union leader is so miffed about Elephant #1 that he’s opting out altogether. Greg Junemann, president of the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers, told Morning Shift to color him gone. "I couldn't bring myself to go and engage in … what I see as 'happy talk' with the TPP just being rolled out," he said. Conservatives and business groups are also protesting the summit. In an op-ed published in The Hill Tuesday, the Competitive Enterprise Institute’s Trey Kovacs complained that “the speakers skew toward unionization, while associations that represent employers were not invited.” A few pro-business voices are attending, though. Ciara Stockeland, a franchisor opposed to the NLRB’s new joint employer standard, says she is on the guest list.
