Dr. Jerry A. Hausman
Dr. Jerry A. Hausman is director of MIT’s Telecommunications Business and Economics He is a member of the committee to revise the U.S. Trade Statistics and the Massachusetts Advisory Committee on Taxation. He is also a Fellow of the Econometrics Society, and of American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Professor Hausman joined the MIT faculty as an assistant professor in 1973, and was promoted to professor in 1979. He received his AB from Brown University 1968 and DPhil from Oxford University in 1972, where he was a Marshall Scholar. Professor Hausman received the John Bates Clark Award from the American Economics Association in most outstanding contributions to economics by an economist under 40 years of age.
