Kristen is a Philanthropy Manager at the Competitive Enterprise Institute.  In this role she develops, cultivates, and manages relationships with CEI donors.

Before joining CEI Walker served as a political appointee at the Department of Energy working for the Under Secretary of Energy and in the office of public affairs, advancing the energy agenda of the Trump Administration.  She has also served in a congressional office on Capitol Hill.  Prior to politics, Walker taught math and language arts to middle school students with mild/moderate disabilities.

A west coast native Walker received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Brigham Young University in Utah, a Masters in Education from Utah State University, and most recently a Master’s Degree in Political Science from George Mason University.  A resident of Arlington, Virginia, she is active in her church community, an avid runner and hiker, a history geek, and travels whenever possible.
