Annie Dwyer is the vice president of communications at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Dwyer manages the organization’s brand, communications strategy, and outreach capabilities including: public relations, coalitions-building, government affairs, and traditional and digital marketing.
Dwyer has spent nearly a decade working in public policy. She specializes in strategic and political communication, and her experience spans the nonprofit, private, and public sectors. Prior to joining CEI in January 2014, Dwyer worked as communications director for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, in media relations for the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, and for FleishmanHillard Public Relations in Kansas City.
Originally from Wichita, Kan., Dwyer received Bachelor of Arts degrees in both political science and journalism from Kansas State University. She is an avid Wildcats fan and volunteers for the Kansas State Capital Area Alumni Board in Washington.
