Lee Doren is CEI's Communications Coordinator.  He graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Communications, and he received his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law. He is currently licensed to practice law in Illinois and the District of Columbia.

During law school, Lee started the blog “Copious Dissent – Your Daily Dose of Liberty,” writing under the alias “Devil’s Advocate.” Despite only blogging as a hobby, Copious Dissent became well-known among the Conservative and Libertarian circles. Consequently, Lee was often linked to several of the largest political blogs on the Net.

Shortly after law school, Lee became Illinois’ 5th District Director of the FairTax, and to continue his online activism, he also launched the YouTube channel, “HowTheWorldWorks."  Evenutally, "HowTheWorldWorks" became one of the largest political channels on YouTube.

Lee Doren has given speeches in Annapolis, Maryland on the Bill of Rights, and he spoke at the Capitol building for the 9/12 March on Washington.  He has provided commentary on Glenn Beck’s show on Fox News and CNN’s, “Lou Dobbs Tonight,” Air America and PressTV.  Lee has also been invited to give lectures for the The Cato Institute, The Institute for Energy Research, the Young Britons’ Foundation in the United Kingdom, the State Policy Network, was the youngest speaker to lecture for the Ronald Reagan Political Lecture Series at Oberlin College.
