Full-Time

Marketing & Development Writer

The Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) seeks a Marketing and Development Writer to oversee written communication and promotional projects for an experienced development team of five. The role is most suitable for an individual with three or more years of experience in public policy, communications, journalism, or a similar field. While experience with grant writing and fundraising is a plus, it is not required. Flexibility, team cooperation, an ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a deep attention to detail are all essential.

Attorney & Legal Policy Fellow

CEI seeks an Attorney & Legal Policy Fellow to develop a new issue project and to augment CEI’s existing litigation capabilities. The project would focus on civil asset forfeiture. Ideal candidates for the position should have some litigation experience. Just as importantly, they should be able to develop and advocate public policy proposals, formulate regulatory filings, and develop materials for non-legal audiences such as congressional staff, news media, and the general public. The chosen candidate will build and maintain relationships with lawmakers and their staff, the public interest legal community, and other allies. The position is part of a growing Center for Law and Litigation and is integrated with CEI’s media and government relations team.
