A CEI internship gives applicants the opportunity to work alongside some of the most prominent regulatory affairs scholars and policy specialists.

Counsel, Litigation and Regulatory Affairs
CEI seeks an experienced litigator to serve as Counsel for Litigation and Regulatory Affairs. This position is designed for an attorney who can assume substantial responsibility immediately: independently evaluate potential cases, develop litigation strategy, draft and review court filings, manage discovery and administrative records, and drive matters forward from inception through resolution with limited day-to-day supervision. Think tank or non-profit experience is a plus.
Quantitative Policy Analyst
The Competitive Enterprise Institute seeks a Quantitative Policy Analyst to support CEI’s policy experts across all the domains of policy that CEI examines. This includes working with policy experts to augment their work with quantitative evidence, and reviewing and critiquing data analysis performed internally and externally. Candidates will be expected to keep track of work done at CEI, as well as work that is a significant part of the broader policy discourse. This position is best suited to an individual with two to four years of experience working with data, who is highly engaged with national policy issues and holds a consistent free-market outlook.
Research Fellow, Center for Advancing Capitalism
The Competitive Enterprise Institute seeks an articulate analyst to provide rapid analysis and critiques of attacks on American free enterprise, whether from the socialist left or the postliberal right, in particular of attacks on the financial system. The analyst should also be able to present a positive, uplifting vision of the roles of capitalism, markets, and free enterprise in making America great and prosperous. The successful candidate will be closely aligned with the organization’s mission and have a passion for advancing classical liberal values of political freedom, moral agency, human dignity, and due process of law. Candidate should be able to engage with topical controversies in government policy, economics, and the law and explain the liberty-affirming position to a lay audience.
