Alex Nowrasteh is a policy analyst at the Competitive Enterprise Institute.  His op-eds have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Houston Chronicle, The Boston Globe, Investor's Business Daily, and numerous other newspapers.  His scholarly work has been published in The Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization.   

He holds a Master of Science in Economic History from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from George Mason University.  He specializes in analyzing immigration and economic policy.

Mr. Nowrasteh is a Southern California native who worked in the finance industry before joining CEI.
