Land-use and Transportation Policy Analyst

Marc focuses on land-use and mobility issues, as well as regional and urban economic policy. His research interests include eminent domain, entrepreneurship, zoning, public finance, transit, intercity passenger transportation, civil aviation, freight transport, economic redevelopment, and property rights.

Marc frequently participates in federal regulatory proceedings and has advised policy makers, analysts, and activists on a variety of transportation and property rights issues at the federal, state, and local levels.

His opinion essays have been published by Forbes, National ReviewThe Cleveland Plain Dealer, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, The Washington Examiner, The Detroit News, and elsewhere.

In addition to policy research, Marc edits CEI's OpenMarket.org, a leading online source for news and analysis covering a variety of regulatory reform issues.

Prior to joining CEI, Marc worked in the Congress department at Federal News Service. He received his bachelor's degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., with concentrations in economics and philosophy.
