Celebrating 75 Wet Years

Today is the anniversary of Repeal Day, when the passage of the 21st Amendment to the Constitution effectively repealed the 18th, thereby restoring to the American people the right to ingest intoxicating liquors without fear of federal prosecution.

Unfortunately, while Prohibition itself may be but a distant memory, the urge of government officials to get on the Ban Wagon it still alive and flourishing. For an overview, watch CEI’s Repeal Day video.
