Doodle Your Password?

CNET reports that you may soon be able to draw a doodle to gain access to ATMs, computers, or websites. The two computer scientists who created the uniqe password system call it Background Draw-a-Secret (BDAS). Jeff Yan, one of the designers said, “Studies have shown that people find it easier to remember images than words or numbers and our system has proven over 1,000 times more secure than people’s normal passwords.” The design could make our computers more secure. But it would not have been possible if the government had a few years ago locked companies into rigid security mandates cemented present-day technology. Good thing the internet is still fairly free.
