Tobacco Settlement Lawyer Sentenced in Bribery Case
Richard “Dickie” Scruggs, the crooked trial lawyer who helped orchestrate multibillion dollar settlements between the States and the big tobacco companies, was sentenced today to five years in prison for conspiring to bribe a judge, plus a $250,000 fine.
