Voters Remove Left-Wing Wisconsin Judge

Voters have replaced a liberal Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice, Louis Butler, with a moderate judge who ran against him.  Butler’s appointment to fill a vacancy on the state supreme court tipped its ideological balance, leading to a rash of anti-business rulings, like one that allowed paint companies to be sued collectively for lead paint, including individual paint companies that were innocent of selling any lead paint in the state.  The Wall Street Journal discusses Butler’s disturbing record here.  We earlier discussed lead paint lawsuits herehere, and here.
