Warrantless Wiretaps for Overseas Terrorists

The Wall Street Journal applauds the Senate’s passage of a bill that would continue to allow the government to use warrantless wiretaps to monitor overseas terrorists. Andy McCarthy discusses it here and here.

We earlier discussed the need to give the phone companies immunity from private lawsuits seeking billions of dollars for their cooperation with the federal government’s terrorist surveillance program. Even Senate Democrats concede the phone companies acted in “good faith.”
