CEI Calls Foul on Climate Claims

Politico’s Morning Energy covers CEI’s letter to the SEC regarding potential municipal bond fraud by California localities.

The Competitive Enterprise Institute sent a letter to the SEC requesting an investigation into California cities and counties that are suing oil and gas companies for concealing man-made climate risks from the public. CEI says the lawsuits filed cite predictions of sea leave rise, but the same California entities say the opposite when they sell their municipal bonds. Specifically, CEI says the entities claim they are unable to predict sea level rise and climate risk. Read the letter.
