New York Times Editorial Shoots at Big Tobacco, Hits Innocent Vapers Instead

Far from seeking to appeal to young people, flavors are a major factor in transitioning adult smokers to vaping. Indeed, there is no conflict between allowing a variety of e-cigarette flavors for adults and keeping them out of the hands of kids, as the Competitive Enterprise Institute’s Michelle Minton explains.

In sum, the logic of the New York Times editorial produces a strange outcome. It is an argument that says,”the best way to oppose Big Tobacco, is to destroy their competition,” and “the best way to protect kids from nicotine it to make it harder for their parents to quit smoking.”
