Steyer’s questions for Senate hopefuls- CEI Ready to Fight Climate Docs Subpoena

Politico's Morning Energy reports on the subpoena sent to CEI from Attorney General Claude Walker. 

The Competitive Enterprise Institute, a free market policy think tank, will fight to quash a subpoena from the attorney general of the U.S. Virgin Islands. As Andrew reports for Pros, territorial AG Claude Walker demanded 10 years of documents related to the group's work on climate change as part of an investigation into whether ExxonMobil lied to the public about climate change. "CEI will vigorously fight to quash this subpoena. It is an affront to our First Amendment rights of free speech and association for Attorney General Walker to bring such intimidating demands against a nonprofit group," CEI General Counsel Sam Kazman said in a statement.
