Forbes cites Research Fellow Richard Morrison on President Biden’s choice of Gary Gensler as chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission:
Richard Morrison, a fellow at the conservative Competitive Enterprise Institute, has already urged Gensler to avoid an aggressive stance on new requirements for corporations related to environmental, social, and governance matters. “I urge Mr. Gensler to focus on the Commission’s core mission of protecting investors and facilitating capital formation, not on divisive initiatives like forcing companies to report on whether they’ve supported a laundry list of political causes,” Morrison wrote in a statement.
