Dear Leader Thune:

On behalf of the undersigned organizations, we write in support of your decision to bring a revised budget to the floor of the Senate before the upcoming spring recess.

We hope your actions will help to create a path for comprehensive reconciliation legislation that implements permanent, pro-growth tax policies while making meaningful reductions to the size and scope of the federal government.

It is essential to pass a budget that accurately reflects the priorities of the Senate and we are pleased by your decision to move quickly given the current economic uncertainty.

The sooner full expensing is revived and made permanent, the sooner we will all benefit from ensuing boosted investment. The earlier the individual and small business automatic tax increases are avoided, the earlier we will realize the benefits to all taxpayers. The quicker Congress acts to address our fiscal situation, the quicker investors in America will be reassured of our course.

We stand ready to assist your efforts to pass a budget that advances these critical goals. As strong advocates for pro-growth tax policies and a leaner federal government, we hope to work closely with you and your Senate colleagues to pass a reconciliation bill to get the American economy back on track.

Sincerely,

Brandon Arnold
