While science is often cited as the basis for countless rulemakings by the Environmental Protection Agency, among others, standards for transparency and reproducibility are lacking. Yet replicating the science—testing hypotheses against data—is the cornerstone of scientific integrity.
In featured remarks, Rep. Scott Franklin will share how he is tackling the reproducibility crisis with the Establishing Gold Standard Science Act. Following his remarks, CEI President Kent Lassman will lead a moderated conversation.
About the Series:
Named after deregulatory pioneer Alfred E. Kahn—who famously chaired and disbanded the Civil Aeronautics Board—CEI launched this discussion series in 2017 to carry forward his legacy. Held under the Chatham House Rule, these private roundtable dinners gather leading experts to discuss opportunities and strategies to reform the contemporary regulatory state and advance real solutions for the American people.
