The Competitive Enterprise Institute is hosting a private lunch discussion with John Carreyrou, two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter for The Wall Street Journal and author of Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley Startup.

Carreyrou first broke the story on the controversial startup Theranos in October 2015. In Bad Blood, he charts the downfall of the Silicon Valley media darling.

CEI alumn Caleb Johnson will interview Carreyrou about his new book and how he uncovered one of the most brazen fraud cases in corporate history.

For his extensive coverage of Theranos, Carreyrou was awarded the George Polk Award for Financial Reporting, the Gerald Loeb Award for Distinguished Business and Financial Journalism in the category of beat reporting, and the Barlett & Steele Silver Award for Investigative Business Journalism.

East City Bookshop will be on site with hardcover copies available for purchase and Carreyrou will be available for signings.
