When should private companies be allowed to share cyber threat information, including potentially sensitive user data such as email contents, with other firms—or with government agencies? Should companies be required to strip personally identifiable information from cyber threat information prior to sharing it? What remedies should be afforded to users whose information is shared? And, perhaps most importantly, who should be tasked with answering these difficult questions?
Join the Competitive Enterprise Institute and TechFreedom for a briefing on these issues on Monday, March 18 in Longworth House Office Building, Room 1539, from 12:00pm to 1:30pm. An expert panel will comment on legislative proposals aimed at bolstering our nation’s cyber defenses, including CISPA (the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act).
