When
The federal government’s sugar program restricts supply, pushes up prices, and enforces import quotas. These policies raise costs on consumers, cause significant job losses, and disrupt the global sugar supply, all for the benefit of a small handful of domestic producers. CEI Adjunct Fellow Fran Smith will address these issues as a panelist at the Sierra Club’s second Big Sugar Summit.
