The media industry is undergoing rapid change. Streaming has upended traditional broadcasting and cable, as YouTube, Netflix and other streamers increasingly command viewing time, while podcasts and social media have exploded in growth. Despite these shifts, the legal and regulatory regime has changed little since it was established under the Communications Act of 1934.

Please join CEI Adjunct Fellow Brian A. Rankin for a discussion of the state of the media industry, how these changes are reshaping the marketplace, and the legal and regulatory reforms needed to keep pace.

When:  12:30 – 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 28, 2026

Where:  Union League Club, 38 East 37th Street, New York, NY 10016

This is a private event. Questions? Email [email protected].
