The Competitive Enterprise Institute is at the forefront of opposing excessive regulation and advocating for a more hands-off approach that encourages innovation and investment. The policy debates over net neutrality, spectrum, and other communications and technology issues occur in Congress, at the Federal Communications Commission, and in the courts.

In the recently published study “No Permission Needed,” CEI Adjunct Fellow Brian Rankin examines Wi-Fi’s use of unlicensed spectrum and the benefits of permissionless innovation. Now a ubiquitous presence, Wi-Fi fosters economic development and innovation, and its success is rooted in the deregulatory approach taken by the FCC.

Join CEI for a lunch discussion on the state of the regulatory environment for communications and technology, and the potential implications of Trump administration policies.
