Gary Shapiro, longtime CEO of the Consumer Technology Association, has been an advocate of innovation for nearly 40 years. When he began his career, he helped beat back efforts from the established motion picture industry to ban the VCR. Now, he is fighting for AI innovators against burdensome red tape. In many of these battles, CEI partnered with Shapiro in crafting a winning policy message to champion new technologies.

Please join CEI for a conversation with Gary Shapiro on his new book, Pivot or Die: How Leaders Thrive When Everything Changes. CEI experts Iain Murray, Wayne Crews, Jessica Melugin, and John Berlau will share their “war stories” of fighting alongside Shapiro to liberalize polices and discuss his insights on the future.
