Please join CEI and the Frontier Institute for policy roundups in Billings, Bozeman, and Whitefish about how policymakers can ensure AI’s energy needs are met. Frontier Institute founder Kendall Cotton will provide a Montana legislative recap. CEI coauthors of Powering Intelligence: Meeting AI’s Energy Needs in a Changing Electricity Landscape, James Broughel and Paige Lambermont, will discuss the implications of federal policy and state prospects for permitting reforms.

Abundant, affordable energy is the foundation of a thriving society. Reliable energy powers modern industry, transportation, and infrastructure, improving quality of life and expanding economic opportunity. New technologies reshape our world, and AI is one of the most transformative among them. However, AI’s potential depends on access to sufficient energy. Ensuring a stable and scalable energy supply is critical not just for AI, but for meeting the growing demands of modern life. For AI to fully deliver on its transformative potential, we must ensure our energy policies support rather than constrain its power needs.
