Decades of environmental overregulation have made housing less accessible and more costly. Mandates on land use, energy efficiency, and green building standards along with complex permitting requirements can slow development and limit options for families. Reducing these barriers would create more housing opportunities and restore Americans’ freedom to decide where to live.
