Biden Vaccine Mandate Will Fail: CEI Statement

In response to President Biden’s September 9 announcement about new government policies aimed at pressuring private and public sector workers to get vaccinated, Competitive Enterprise Institute President Kent Lassman warned of failure:

“President Biden’s plan to increase America’s Covid vaccination rates and protect public health and safety via government mandate will fail. It relies on a dubious legal foundation and further enmeshes a regulatory agency with workers’ most personal decisions. Unfortunately, Covid is now endemic and won’t be ‘fixed’ through broad brush government mandates. The Biden plan will further alienate tens of millions of the people we most want to persuade to take continued sensible precautions like vaccines. OSHA should be blocked from implementing the order.”
