Contrary to News Story, CEI Supports Passage of No More Solyndras Act

Washington, D.C., September 12, 2012 – Contrary to a factually incorrect news article in this morning’s Environment & Energy Daily, the Competitive Enterprise Institute supports passage of H.R. 6213, the No More Solyndras Act, which is scheduled for a vote in the House of Representatives later this week.  CEI also supports an amendment offered by Representative Tom McClintock to strengthen the bill, which the House Rules Committee this afternoon refused to make in order when the bill is debated on the floor.

The author of the factually incorrect story in Energy and Environment Daily, a sister publication of Greenwire, Climate Wire, Energywire, and E & E PM, did not contact CEI for a comment or to confirm CEI’s position before reporting that we opposed the legislation.
