Journalist Chris Stirewalt to Emcee CEI Award Dinner
The Competitive Enterprise Institute is pleased to announce that journalist Chris Stirewalt will emcee the Julian L. Simon Memorial Award Dinner on September 21 in Washington, D.C.
“Warmth, humor, a finger on the pulse of an audience’s strengths as well as foibles, and razor-sharp insights are all markers of a brilliant emcee,” said CEI President Kent Lassman. “I’m thrilled Chris Stirewalt will serve this role for CEI’s Julian L. Simon Memorial Award Dinner on September 21, 2021. He is made for the moment and our first major social event since the start of the pandemic. Join us at the REACH and learn more including how to purchase a seat at simonlegacy.cei.org.”
Stirewalt is a contributing editor and weekly columnist for The Dispatch and senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. Before that, he was political editor of Fox News Channel, where he helped coordinate political coverage across the network and specialized in on-air analysis of polls and voting trends.
The Sept. 21 CEI event will take place at the REACH at the Kennedy Center and feature “Undercover Economist” Tim Harford as keynote speaker. The Simon award winner will be William Easterly, Professor of Economics at New York University and Co-Director of the NYU Development Research Institute.
