DAILY DIARY – DEBUNK THE JUNK, APRIL 30, 2004
“I always thought that once you grew up you could do anything you wanted – stay up all night or eat ice-cream straight out of the container.” – Bill Bryson<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office” />
Day 30: That’s it, no vomiting in the parking lot, no splotchy face, no problem with my libido, 10 pounds lost and cholesterol down from 237 to 197. I’ll make this last entry short and sweet.
I’d like to thank the staff of the Portsmouth Herald and writer Melanie Asmar for publishing weekly updates in their Sunday paper. They did a wonderful job and I do appreciate their patience over the last 30 days.
I’d also like to thank the staff at Competitive Enterprise Institute and Advocacy Ink for helping me with media requests and www.cei.org for providing a link to my daily diary and receipts, you all are the best.
As for me, I will continue the 1,800 to 2,000 calorie a day diet while finishing my film. I’d love to lose another 10 pounds. During the next thirty days I will continue to eat out at different restaurants such as KFC, Burger King, Taco Bell, Applebees and Friendly’s— and yes, even McDonalds—while I continue my new goal of making healthy food choices. Check in on the CEI website from time to time for updates through May.
