Thanks to everyone who listened to the inaugural episode of the new Competitive Enterprise Institute podcast Free the Economy in December. We covered stagnating wages, ESG investing, and reforming the Federal Trade Commission. We also had a lively interview with Alec Stapp of the Institute for Progress about removing the roadblocks to the abundance agenda. If you liked the show, please leave us a review and follow us on Twitter.

In Episode 2 this week we talk about investigating the Southwest Airlines holidays delays, the emerging  problems with the electric vehicle revolution, the attack on Airbnb in New York City, a legal victory for home chefs in Wisconsin, and the winner of the Worst Economic Development Deal of the Year for 2022. Our interview this week is with the American Enterprise Institute’s Michael Strain. Michael is the author of The American Dream Is Not Dead: (But Populism Could Kill It), and we talk about how real blue-collar wages in America have not been stagnant for decades, despite what you might have heard. My review of Michael’s book, by the way, was published by the Cato Institute here.
