RealClear Radio Hour: Futurism and Genius

This week’s guests share a contagious, limitless optimism about our technological future and individual achievement.

My first guest is Kevin Kelly, co-founder and Senior Maverick of Wired magazine and author of The Inevitable: Understanding the 12 Technological Forces That Will Shape Our Future. Kelly dares us to trust technology as the answer to a wide variety of questions. He explores how our growing technology-empowered nexus—which he likens to an intelligent “super organism”— will inherently solve humanity’s challenges of the past and future. Up second is Ken Ono, Asa Griggs Candler Professor of Mathematics at Emory University, author of My Search for Ramanujan: How I Learned to Count, and associate producer and consultant for the film The Man Who Knew Infinity. Ono shares how Srinivasa Ramanujan inspired him personally and professionally. In his honor, Ono has launched a program to discover and foster future math prodigies with The Spirit of Ramanujan talent initiative.

You can hear the discussion by listening to the full show as-aired on iTunes, or you can check out the podcasts hosted on YouTube and SoundCloud. Make sure to check back next week for another episode of RealClear Radio Hour.
