The U.S. would benefit from dropping its tariffs and trade barriers, even if other countries do not do the same, according to a new report from the conservative Competitive Enterprise Institute released today. Trade liberalization — through reduced tariffs and the elimination of anti-dumping duties — would help U.S. jobs, business profitability, economic growth and diplomatic ties, the report says.
