At long last, DOT proposes rule on in-flight calls

Politico's Morning Transportation highlights CEI's transportation policy proposals for the 115th Congress. 

The Competitive Enterprise Institute released its “agenda” for the next Congress this week. Among its transportation policy proposals, CEI calls for lawmakers to “corporatize” the nation’s air traffic control system, end discretionary grant programs like TIGER and conduct “hearings on NHTSA’s treatment of automated vehicle technology to ensure that the agency is not pursuing counterproductive precautionary approaches that could threaten innovation and lead to additional preventable traffic crashes, injuries, and fatalities.”
