Daily on Energy: Beto’s Climate Plan Reveals Confusion over ‘Green New Deal’ Timeline
The Washington Examiner cites CEI led coalition letter regarding the Paris climate agreement.
The Competitive Enterprise Institute and 15 other conservative and free-market supporters sent a letter to House lawmakers on Tuesday asking them to oppose a Democratic bill to reverse Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement. The Rules Committee on Monday approved the schedule for the Climate Action Now Act to be taken up on the House floor, which could happen as soon as this week. Reversing the president’s decision would inflict “permanent and irreparable damage” to consumers and the nation’s “job-creating businesses,” the letter read. Other groups on the letter included Heritage Action, FreedomWorks, and Americans for Limited Government, among others.
