A New York Supreme Court judge has ordered state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman to properly respond to a public records request for documents related to his investigation into Exxon Mobil’s climate activities within 30 days. Acting Justice Henry Zwack ruled Schneiderman’s initial response to the Competitive Enterprise Institute’s request under the state’s Freedom of Information Law was “nothing more than a parroting of statutory language” and a “complete failure” of his responsibility under the statute.
