Race to finish: 1 new Obama reg every 147 minutes

Washington Examiner highlights CEI's work to track the federal goverment's current regulatory pace. 

According to the Competitive Enterprise Institute, Obama's regulatory machine is on hyper-drive as President-elect Trump gets ready to take control of the government. He has pledged to erase two current regulations for every new one he issues.

Obama has given him thousands of new targets this year.

CEI said, for example, that Obama has already surpassed his total for last year and still has two months to go in office.

"With 3,389 final regulations published so far in 2016, the federal government is on pace to issue 3,732 regulations in 2016. Last year's total was 3,406 regulations," said the regulatory watchdog.
