Joseph W. Sullivan is a senior adviser at The Lindsey Group, a global macroeconomic advisory and consulting firm. He served at the White House Council of Economic Advisers as the special adviser to the chairman, as well as a staff economist, from 2017 to 2019.
A frequent commentator on economics and current affairs, he has published in outlets like The Atlantic, Barron’s, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, and National Review. He has also appeared on a number of TV programs and podcasts. Before government, he was a senior research associate in economics at the American Enterprise Institute, where his research was cited in outlets like The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Post.
He received a bachelor’s degree with High Honors from Harvard University.
