Rory Broomfield is Director of The Freedom Association and recently led the Association’s successful Better Off Out campaign, which advocated for the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union. He has previously worked in the City of London and in Westminster for a number of Members of Parliament, including the current Prime Minister, Theresa May; the current Chairman of the 1922 Committee, Graham Brady; and Sir Richard Shepherd. He is an authority on the EU and has written a number of books, including Membership of the EU: There Are Alternatives, The EU’s Effect on the UK’s Place in the World, and The Future’s Bright—The Future’s Global. Broomfield is a regular commentator on a range of domestic and international media outlets. He holds a First Class degree in Politics from the University of York and Master’s degrees from City University London and Warwick Business School.
